Empowering the Saudi Financial Ecosystem Through Trusted National Initiatives

The national initiatives managed and operated by SIMAH reflect the trust it has earned over the years, along with its specialized expertise, advanced technological capabilities, and strong governance framework. SIMAH has been entrusted with these initiatives based on its national standing and proven ability to manage strategic programs with broad impact, contributing to greater integration across the financial ecosystem and supporting Saudi Arabia’s development ambitions with efficiency and reliability

National Data Pooling

The National Data Pooling NDP is one of SIMAH’s leading national initiatives, designed to support the financial sector and enable financing entities to adopt advanced credit risk measurement approaches in line with international standards and best practices.

The initiative was launched in response to Basel capital adequacy requirements, with the objective of providing a unified data platform that supports the calculation of Probability of Default (PD) and Loss Given Default (LGD) through the consolidation of credit and financial data across the sector.

The NDP enables financing entities to build more accurate and efficient risk models, enhance the quality of credit decisions, and improve reliability and transparency across the financial ecosystem.

Legal Entity Identifier - (LEI)

The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a global standardized tool used to identify legal entities participating in financial transactions. It enhances transparency, supports efficient tracking and verification, and contributes to building a more connected and transparent financial environment. Through this service, SIMAH enables relevant entities to benefit from an international standard that allows legal entities to be identified accurately and consistently, enhancing data reliability and reducing ambiguity related to legal identities in transactions.

The importance of this service lies in supporting compliance, improving data quality, and connecting the local market with relevant international standards and practices. It also enables organizations to manage legal entity data more efficiently and supports disclosure and transparency requirements across financial markets, reinforcing SIMAH’s role as a key enabler of financial and information infrastructure
